Child Having Headache And Feeling Sleepy. What Is The Cure?
Question: My 5 year old son has headaches, is sleeping the whole day ( he's hyperactive usually), crying - he rarely cries, is uncoordinated

The temp was aroung 38 degrees C
Fever is high but not go to the hospital high
Gave him 1 ponado tablet, hasnt done anything
He's still sleeping from 12pm, just wakes to ask for water, and is crying, hot to the touch, and says his head hurts

Dear XXXXXXX Thank you for your answer. The symptoms displayed by your is consistent with
Heat Exhausion. This condition happens when a person has been exposed to very
high external heat and body suffer from hyperthermia. The person feels sick,
gets headache, drowsy and some times sweats profusely. As he is only 5yrs
old I strongly advise to take him to hospital to start treatment as soon as possible. In the mean time give him plenty of fluid with electrolytes (Electrol).
Tepid sponge (normal temp water) him to take the temp down, you can give Acetaminophen syrup @ 10mg/kg/day in four divided dose.
The best advice is to take the nearest clinic.
