Can you have blood in your urine from being dehydrated

Hello and thanks for posting the query
Dehydration is very unlikely to cause blood in the urine (hematuria). Severe dehydration can lead to blood in the urine, but this degree of dehydration would have other severe manifestations as well.

Blood in urine has a number of different reasons including urinary track infection, trauma, bladder tumors, kidney and bladder stones, prostrate enlargement, as well as some medications.

To find out the cause you must do your urine microscopic and culture examination, sonography of lower abdomen. Feel free to consult your urologist and plan the treatment accordingly.

If you have any further queries write follow up query. I will be happy to answer them.
Best Wishes
Dr. Kulbir Singh
