Posted on Fri, 5 Jun 2015
Question: I have knee replacement surgery scheduled 6/30. I have dental clearance for surgery. I need to havre my lower teeth pulled but first date available 6/15. I think this May be too close to surgery. Do you agree? How soon after knee replacement should I schedule dental work. I do not want to delay knee replacement.

Brief answer...in my opinion avoid teeth extraction.
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
I think a dental work 15 days prior to knee surgery is pretty close and hence should be avoided. Why should you create a possible chance of some wrong happening resulting in delay of your knee replacement. So it is better to get your dental work done after the knee surgery.
As far as dental work after the knee surgery is concerned, protocol says WAIT FOR 3 MONTHS.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
