Question: My mother who is 92 has been prescribed clindamycin prior to a procedure at the dentist, I am worry about a yeast infection. What can I do to prevent it?

Well, if you are afraid that clindamycin will increase risk of yeast infection then you should not worry since it happens only if antibiotics are used for longer period. Also,generally, serious yeast infections are rare and usually occur in people who are immuno-compromised.
