Brief Answer:
Please do not take Dolo if taking Sinarest tablets

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Dolo 650 is paracetamol 650 mg and works in fever.
Sinarest contains chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg, phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg, paracetamol 500 mg, anhydrous caffeine 30 mg and works in common cold and flu.

Your doctor might be suspecting viral flu and common cold. Sinarest works in reducing fever and in treatment of allergy and nasal decongestion.

If you take Sinarest tablet then there is no need of taking Dolo 650. Sinarest can be taken 1 tablet 3-4 times a day. Please take note that Sinarest can cause some drowsiness.

Dolo 650 should be taken only if you are not taking Sinarest to avoid paracetamol overdose.

For the fever please follow the following instructions to keep the temperature down.

1. Drink plenty of fluids. Fever can cause fluid loss and dehydration, so drink water and juices.

2. Please take sufficient rest from work for 2 - 3 days.

3. Dress in comfortable clothes and avoid exposure to extremes of temperature and dust pollution.

4. You can take sponge bath with warm water.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
If no running nose then please take Dolo only

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

If you do not have running nose then Dolo is the best option.

As you already know, there is no need of taking Sinarest.

Coming to Ciplox, it is an antibiotic and to be taken only if you have bacterial infection. Most doctors treat any flu with antibiotics but it is wise to wait for 3 days and see. If symptoms do not improve after 3 days, then taking antibiotics like Ciplox might be required. Ciplox is only a backup to be taken if your symptoms are increasing.

If you have fever due to mild viral infection and are feeling better only with Dolo then there is no need to take Ciplox. However if your symptoms do not improve even after 3 days then taking Ciplox 5 days course might be justified. If you need to take Ciplox then its better to take Pantoprazole one tablet on empty stomach along with it to prevent gastritis.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
Dolo can be taken 6 or 8 hourly after food

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

The pharmacologic dose of Dolo 650 is every 6 or 8 hourly depending on the fever. You can take 6 hourly if you are having body ache and please take after food.

Sleep should be around 7 - 8 hours each night and preferably avoid air conditioning and pollution for some days. You can cover yourself with a light blanket.

Try not to do any strenuous activity after dinner and fall asleep by 11 pm.
Wishing you quick recovery.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
