Can One Get UTI After Using A Dirty Underwear?

Question: hi i have asked you questions before im 50 and a male have bad ocd i wanted to know if you could get uti from wet dirty underwear or wet dirty bed clothes ive been told no but just wanted you to tell me also would it matter if your penis was rubbing in your pants against dirty underwear aggressively for a long period of time i know its crazy but you helped me in the past thank you

As a Urologist I am concern about your doubt .But I would state that in my 45 years of practice I have never heard of anyone getting a UTI from dirty underwear but its not impossible to get UTI after long contact with wet under wares .

hi would rubbing aggressively in your pants against underwear make any difference and would they have to be very wet like soaking?

Rubbing aggressively against under wares will not cause UTI.

If the inner wares are soaked with contaminated water like water from swimming pool the possibility of getting UTI are high compared to normal water .
