Can One Contract Herpes From Unheated Food Eaten Outside?
Question: hello doctor
since today morning the left side of the lower lip is feeling wierd ... for example as soon as i woke up the innner left corner of lip felt dry and burning sensation like a cut or something ...when i checked it was red and there was some rawness.. then i applied some sebamed lip balm since then every few hours i applied ..... sometimes i feel like the vermillion border something was there i need to itch sometimes no itch or burning sensaion ..... i am attaching few pics can you please tell me if everything is fine .... also i feel like that side is slightly swollen i dont know whether its because of my fear i am feeling like this .... now the skin below the vermillion border feels itchy and when i wipe it dead skin flaky skin is coming off like oily stuff... i am so scared of herpes doctor ..... on monday i ate sandwidch from costa coffe shop .... i did not share it with anybody just ate all by myself .... but generally i would bring it home heat it up once again and then have but on that day since i was outside i was forced to eat it .... can we eat food prepared outside and served by others without heating it up just like that .... can herpes pass like that ? i am so confused and scared doctor .... please help me ... can i use hydrocortisone cream ?

Since today the skin below the left side lower lip is hurting and as you can see the pics there is a pimple kind come up and also it hurts when I stretch or even chew something in my mouth that side is it ok ... to feel that pain when a pimple or acne comes up ? Also I have attached some pics of the left side lower lip can you please tell me if everything is ok ? Or the pain and discomfort is coming from the lip indeed ... I am so scared doctor please help me

You can apply a topical antibiotic like neosporin ointment on the affected area twice daily for 4-5 days.
This will resolve it.
The left lower lip seems fine.
The pain you are having is coming from the pimple most likely.
