Brief Answer: Folate deficiency may be related... Detailed Answer: Hi, There is no obvious relation between invasive candidiasis and spleen enlargement; but candidiasis involving the gut can cause malabsorption leading to folate defiency. Endoscopic procedure will be needed to confirm candidiasis extending into stomach and intestines. On the other hand mildly enlarged spleen needs other work up starting with blood counts and liver function tests. Rarely doctor may order for invasive tests such as bone marrow aspiration if they are concerned about your symptoms. Hope I have answered your question. Regards
