Can I Use Indomethacin After H Pylori Infection Treatment?

Question: hi. i have a ligament inflamation causing pain in knee when bending down in pilates. doctor has suggested indomethacin 3 tablets 25 mg. two weeks back inhad diagonized with h pylori infection. i have just completed the triiple theraphy course. can i use indomethacin now. as this is an nsaidnwouldnit again flar up h pylori issue. i am taking praponol 40 mg one in morning and night. kindly advise

Brief Answer: Yes, you can take it. Detailed Answer: Hello! Thank you for the query. As you take stomach acid secretion medicine in high dosage, you can take Indomethacin and it wont cause any stomach issues (like an ulcer or inflammation). H.Pylori is a bacteria which has nothing in common with NSAID medicines. You need to get infected (with foods for example) to get this bacteria back. If its about ligament inflammation, I suggest you to consult Orthopedist with this issue. Knee MRI might be necessary. Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions. Regards.
