Can Fruits Be Taken Before Meal?

default
Posted on Fri, 8 Jul 2016
Question: Hi,
1) Can you please advise whether fruits are best eaten on an empty stomach or with a meal?
2) I go to the gym 3 to 4 days a week in the morning. I spend about an hour and a half in the gym. I do cardio and weight training on alternate days in the gym. I have a cup of black tea with a cookie or two before leaving for the gym. Is it sufficient and ok or do you advise a change in diet?
Thanks and best wishes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
I usually suggest taking fruits just before meal.
This helps them restrain the amount of food u eat.
This will help you with the restriction of calories intake.
I agree with the amount you take.
I however suggest a good hydration about 2 to 3 hours prior to gym.
The protein intake has to be considered.
Best of luck. Dr Mittal
