It was a compound fracture and destroyed the cartage and splintered the lower leg bone at the knee joint, broke a part of the lower leg bone on side and splintered the lower leg bone, similar to driving a wooden stake into the ground, and having the wood splinter down 3 inches It broke part of the side of the upper leg bone off as well. It has been pinned and plated for a year to alloy time for all bone healing, and now we are doing the therapy to straighten the leg. I do not have x rays and the knee has no pain and works normal. Just cannot get it straight, because of the apathy in the back tendons. Never any medical problems prior to the accident.
