Brief Answer:
Continue with glasses for the time being.

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
She has a sizable cylindical error. She has to use glasses for the time being. She has to have regular, six monthly or maximum one yearly checkup to ascertain how power is progressing.Any permanent measures for removal of glassare are to be taken after 18 years of age when power will be fully stabilized.
There are no specific diet plans for the child,as this is not due to dietary deficiency.Still you have to take good care of diet and games and exercises are always welcome.
Any further query in this regard please do get back to me.

Thanks a lot doctor. I am little worried since our doctor has said there are more chances that the power will increase and it can go beyond 7 or 8.

Also when you say that its sizeable cylindrical error, what does that mean? After 18 what kind if cures are available.

Also what are the risk associated before she turns 18. Can it get more defective ? Any kind of excersice which you can recommed for her, since she is 5 getting her throught complex excerise may be difficult.

Please suggest

Brief Answer:
Astigmatism

Detailed Answer:
My dear XXXXXXX
good of you to get back to me.
There may be some changes,so you have to have follow up 6 months to one year.
Changes may occur and as growth stops by 18there may not be any further increase in power.
How we deal with power now will be very different from our approach 13 years flater.
Since this power is due to anotomical roundness of eyeball, diet, exerccise have little role to play.Let her have good glasses and have periodic checkup and she will have good vision.
