Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Brief Answer:
Cholecystectomy

If a patient is allergic to any drugs, there must be avoided in all circumstances. This is only way to prevent any reaction. There are medicines to cure any reaction intra operatively.

Considering she is drug allergic, Would it be OK to do both the surgery in one go, I mean hysterectomy and Cholecystectomy, to avoid 2 surgeries at different times. However, presently there is no symptoms pertaining to Gall bladder but doctor says although it is not symptomatic presently, but may create emergencies in near future. Hence, it is recommended to do both surgeries in One go..Moreover, is it must to have an ICU, where she is being operated, considering her drug allergic profile ?? Advice further

Brief Answer:
Cholecystectomy

Yes she can go for both surgeries in one go if the procedure is recommended as it will avoid the need for repeated anaesthesia.
Having an ICU is always better as it is needed in case there is some emergency which is more likely in an allergic patient like yours.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
