Can Cold And Allergies Cause Pain Below The Head Despite Being On Aleve?
Question: I have an ache in the bottom part of my head, top part of my neck. I could barely move my head on Sat. It felt a little better on Sunday but I took 5 Aleve. Today, it is still bothering me and my ear on that side has felt really weird. It’s hard to describe. I’ve had a cold or allergies bothering me for the last week. Sore throat, headache ...Generally, I feel awful.

It would be helpful if you can use a neck band to restrict the movements of the neck. This way the neck muscles would ease from the spasm they have for the past two to three days. Resting them helps quick healing.
You can continue to take Aleve or I suggest MOTRIN double strength (400mg) thrice a day.
Betadine mouth gargles a help sore throat or even DISPRIN mouth gargles should help soreness in the throat.
