Thanks for contacting with your health concern.

1. Since patient with cardiomyopathy is/are having history of congenital/valvular/ hypertension/Ischemic heart disease [IHD] is therer the same in you?

2. Since probably it is diagnosed which type of cardiomyopathy is it: dilated, hypertrophic, or restrictive type?

3. any history of
i. alcohol consumption. [duration]
ii. endocrinal [thyroid/sugar/adrenal] problem
iii. nutritional disease: mainly thiamine

4. Any significant systemic disorder: chiefly systemic lupus erythematous [SLE], Rheumatoid Arthritis [RA] or Worm Infestation?

5. Acupuncture will treat the progression of cardiomyopathy but not symptoms, so in best interest one should go with herbal medicine and Panchkarma Procedure 'Hridya Basti' for alleviation of symptoms and disease.
PS. According to Review and Analysis done in Italy it is suggested that " acupuncture may be tried in IHD/CAD patients provided the practitioner has special modern medical knowledge and adequate monitoring equipment.
