Question: Can an Optometrist conduct a "Visual Field Test" or does an Opthalmologist need to do this. If not an Optometrist, why not?

A visual field is usually conducted by an optometrist. Conduction of the test requires the basic knowhow of the machine. Which is taught to the optometrist.

But, what kind of visual field test has to be permformed should be decided by an ophthalmologist and the results should be approved by an opthalmologist.
