Question: Monday, 5:30p PST (68yo female, with OP)I fell with a ladder from appox 5ā€™ to cement, leading with my head, then my low back. My eyes rolled back in my head, but I did not lose concesiousness

Hisotry: Many breaks, including tail bone 5x
Symptoms: Extreme headache from the time of the accident, neck, back, tail bone pain.
Physician: Saw him yesterday, got checked out BUT I forgot to ask 2 uestions.

1. When I fell I heard a crunching sound-my guess is it was probably my skull.
2. Biggest question: the crunch was followed by a squishing sound. What could possibliy squish?

Please note: Iā€™m not really asking for a diagnosis, just am really stumped on what might squish

Brief Answer:

Squishing could indicate possible soft tissue injury

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Considering your symptoms, the possibility of a bony injury of the skull is very high.

Squishing might possibly be related to scalp injury.

But it's very important to rule out an organic brain injury.

Hence it's important to get a CT Scan of Brain at the earliest to determine further course of action.

Further management if any is largely based on test results.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
