Brief Answer:
Lymph node or Cyst - better to go for Ultrasound and other tests...

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Noted your history and understood the concerns.
Please give additional information for me to assist you better:
Is the lump in the skin crease or just below it?
Is it painful or tender?
Is the skin above normal or discolored?
Any other skin lesions due to thrombocytopenia?
What are the blood counts including platelets in past and recently?
How much is sugar and blood pressure?

From the short history you have provided this looks to be one of the following:
Inguinal lymph node in the vertical chain.
Enlarging cyst.

I would advise you the following:
Fresh blood tests.
Ultrasonography of the lump give fairly accurate diagnosis.
FNAC almost proves the cause of the lump and the causative factor.
All this helps for management of such lumps.

I followed up with immediate care clinic in town. They think femoral hernia by physical exam and I am going to family doctor soon. Thank you for your quick response. Abscess is also a possibility.

Brief Answer:
As detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Yes.
Thanks for your feedback.
Hernia of any origin has a peculiar sign.
It has an impulse on coughing meaning it enlarges on coughing or straining.
And it is reducible meaning the size reduces or vanishes on pressure.
High resolution ultrasound helps to differentiate as well as a clinical examination by a General Surgeon.
Hernia is usually not hard unless obstructed and femoral hernia by far is least common to occur.

I hope this answer helps you further.
