First of all I would like to give my details.. I am 33yrs. old married woman & have a son 4yrs. old.
health issues not as such but I am taking thyroid medicine (thyronorm 25mcg) as my TSH is 7.5.
one of our family friend is homeo doc., he suggested me a medicine for immunity. we're planning for 2nd baby & I've conceived.. I want to know if this medicine would be safe to take during pregnency, would it cause any serious side effect..?

I am giving the details of medicine below :-
1). Make a mixture of Brandy (30ml) + Avena Sativa Q(30ml) + Brandy(30ml) + Alfalfa Q(30ml) + Brandy(30ml) + Helonius Dioica Q(30ml) + Brandy(30ml) + Hydrastis Canadensis Q(30ml).
2). Mix each one by one & shake vigorously 100 times.
3). Then add 30 drops in lukewarm water & take this mixture thrice daily 15mins. before food.

Please let me know accordingly.

Thanks..

Brief Answer:
Alcohol is harmful for pregnancy. Dose of thyronorm needs to be increased.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Thyronorm 25 is safe and is essential to be continued throughout the pregnancy. During pregnancy it is very important to bring the TSH levels to below 2.5. So, the dose of thyronorm perhaps needs to be increased. The TSH level needs to be checked before altering the dose (so that the changes can be measured).

Brandy or any other alcoholic drink would harm your pregnancy and I would strongly insist you to stop that. I am not aware of the health effects of the other medicinal principles mentioned but am keen to know why they are being taken.

Regards
