Can Vyvanse Cause A False Positive For Methamphetamine?
Question: I take Vyvanse which always shows up as amphetamines. My PO decided to send my test to lab for confirmation and it showed positive for meth. I have not ever used meth. Is there anything that could cause a false positive for meth after being sent to lab for confirmation. Inam very upset being accused of sonething i didnt do

First of all it is not uncommon to get false positive for meth when you are on Vyvanse. However the presence of positive test on confirmation test (Generally very specific tests) creates doubt for almost all.
However I like to state that there are multiple medications whcih could cause false positive for mth which includes antidepressants such as bupropion and Fluoxetine, Diabetes medications such as Metformin, and others such as pseudoephedrine, labetalol, ritalin.
To contest your case request your PO to send your sample to different laboratory of high caliber which may help you positively.

So the meds you listed above could cause a false pisitive for meth after being sent to a lab for confirmation? Is there a cimbination of meds that could cause a false pisitive for meth? They do not believe me that I have not done meth, so i need to figure out what it is i might be taking that woukd cause this so it doesnt happen again.would
