Brief Answer:
Your grandson most probably having eustachian tube blockage

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

As per your clinical history it appears that your grandson most probably having eustachian tube blockage due to upper respiratory infection with inflammatory lymph node.

In my opinion , you can give tylenol 325 mg and benadryl 25 mg.
Also use Steam Inhalation twice daily &
Saline nasal rinse thrice daily.

Certainly above treatment will give him much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level then consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential.

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Regards.
