Can Triavil Be Taken For Sleeplessness?

default
Posted on Mon, 19 Oct 2015
Question: Is triavil still available? I weaned myself off of it once, but it worked well when I took it. If I asked a doctor (it just helped with sleep) would he/she still be able to prescribe it?

Brief Answer:
detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

Triavil is a combination of two drugs :Amitriptyline and Perphenazine. This combination of drugs is still available in various brand names like Triavil,Etrafon,Duo-Vil etc.
This combination is still available as generic amitriptyline/perphenazine ,so you can consult your doctor regarding this medication and if it is appropriate for you.If you really need it ,your doctor is able to prescribe it for you.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any question.I would be happy to help.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
