It would best not to use them. They are expired , this means would not be effective and may have increased chance of side effects.

Dysentery refers to diarrhoea that is associated with blood in the stool. It may be due to infection with certain types of bacteria or parasites. The specific causative agent can be identified by stool sample.

There are other causes of diarrhoea that do not cause blood in the stool.

These are more common. The main part of treatment is oral rehydration (or iv if person is very dehydration).

The oral rehydration is to prevent or treat dehydration while the body eliminates the cause (virus or bacteria). Oral rehydration salts are available over the counter.
The use of probiotics are also useful in some causes of diarrhoea.

Summary
