Can STD Be Contracted Through Oral Sex?

Question: Hi, i am worried i have an STD. Does this look like heat rash to you or something worse?it is in the area between my thigh and my testicles. It is only slightly itchy. I received oral 2 weeks ago and this seems to have appeared from nowhere. Thanks. XXXX

Oral sex carries a low risk for STD/HIV when compared to anal and vaginal sex. If at all a possibility of STD, it would be mostly as a sore throat or ulcers in the mouth and not as itching over groin following an oral sex.
Itching between thigh and scrotum are very very common symptom with many non venereal skin conditions like ring worm, eczema, scrotal dermatitis etc. It would be worse with sultry climate. Consult a Dermatologist for further help.
