Can Rozavel Be Taken For High Blood Pressure?
Question: I am 60 years old. I have been a High Blood Pressure Patient since 30 years but its always under control with medication ( NURIL 5 & FELOGARD 5 ) twice a day, after breakfast & dinner. As a precautionary measure it has been recommended by my Doctor to take one ROZAVEL 5 every alternate day. I have been reading that it has side effects like heel ache & drowsiness.etc Would like to know if this happens in all cases or occurs in a few cases. Also need your advice at what time of the day is it best to be taken.

It should be taken in cases of dyslipidemia or hyperlipidemia, meaning raised cholesterol and only if the diet restrictions and exercises failed to control raised cholesterol. May I please know your recent lipid profile blood test?
Rosuvastatin can have many side effects but are not that common.
Side effects do not happen in all cases.
This is one medicine that can be taken any time of the day with or without food, there is no restriction.
The only restriction is that if you are taking antacids, give a gap of 2 to 3 hours between the two.
