Posted on Tue, 8 Jul 2014
Question: I have taken one dose of rabipur as a preventive, but find
myself unable to tolerate. Can I discontinue now without
harming myself. If I do end up of having a bite can I reconsider
rabipur then?

Brief Answer:
Yes you may stop taking rabipur injections.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Its fine if you discontinue taking rabipur after taking single dose. You need to get compulsorily vaccination only if bitten by a dog or regularly handle animals. There are other vaccines available like verorab which you may consider should you require a vaccination.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
