This question is for Dr. XXXXXXX Hi Dr. XXXXXXX I forgot to include this question in my recent question about the Prozac. I know it's also good for OCD. Will it help with obsessive thoughts, the ones that one keeps thinking about over and over. I just started taking it for my bipolar and I have a little of that going on. And if so how long will it take for it to work? Thank you so much. You have helped me a great deal

Brief Answer:
Follow up

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for follow up.

As you stated it definitely helps in Obsessive compulsive disorder and so the obsessive thoughts. Alike other OCD spectrum disorder it may take more time and you may see some positive response by two weeks and the complete response may take eight to twelve weeks.

I hope this clarifies.
Thanks and regards.
