Can Methadone Cause False Positive Urine Test Result For Benzos?
Question: hello.i have been on methadone for many years.recently i reloacted and am at a new clinic.over the past two months all my mouth swabs have been clean but they claim i had 3 positive urine test for benzos.i never have used benzos and they are telling me i will be discharged from methadone maintinence or i can go in to a detox program for benzos.i take advil,a senokot laxative,klor-con and furosemide.i need to figure out why this is happening.

Whether you have been prescribed sleeping pills on methadone maintenance??
If you have attended rave party and taken any drugs? That can be possibility..because flunitrazepam is commonly used in this parties..
Whether you have sad mood and depression and you were given any antidepressant and anxiolytic combinations??

What about foods? Would it be possible that benzos are in foods??also I went through treatment couple years ago for hep c as you know hep c stays in your system.could this be the reason for the benzo test results being positive?

Benzos are not present in our food...but recent studies have found that certain plant products have shown very low concentration of benzos which is of no clinical use..but I feel ot may be taken by the tests..you can search through internet nad find the plants and its source..
Hep c itself does not cause positive result for benzos detection...its treatment can not cause positive benzo detection..
