Brief Answer:
Nothing will happen - she will sleep more for 24-48 hours

Detailed Answer:
Hi.... Nothing will happen. The drug in Maxtra will make her sleepy for 24-48 hours. Let her have good sleep.

But please be on the lookout for slow, shallow respiration or depressed breathing effort.

Meftal-P or MEFTAL contains Mefenamic acid which is a NSAID. It carries the risk of gastritis and renal problems in the long run. Please do not use Meftal-P.

For fever - Paracetamol can be given in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose (maximum ceiling dose of 500mg) every 4-6th hourly that too only if fever is more than 100F. I suggest not using combination medicines for fever, especially with Paracetamol.

If you can get back to me with recent weight of the kid, I will suggest you the appropriate dose and preparation of Paracetamol.

Thanks for quick response sir.

Her weight is 7.5kg. I have read somewhere not to give maxtra p syrup to kids less than 2 years and that too 2.5ml.
