Can I Take The Trazodone With Meloxicam, Naproxen Sodium And Gabapentin?
Question: I am being treated for back injuries including 3 bulged discs and a compressed fracture. I also have arthritis in my back. I have been prescribed and am presently taking Meloxicam and Gabufenton along with a muscle relaxer. I was prescribed Trazadone for sleep issues about a year and a half ago and would like to continue using it. I am presently taking Naproxen Sodium for pain. Can I take the Trazadone with these other medications?
Brief Answer:
You can have Trazodone.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
In addition to the pain killers and muscle relaxants you are taking now, you can also start with Trazodone to help you sleep.
Be careful to have Trazodone at least two hours after the dose of muscle relaxant as trazodone itself will also provide an additional muscle relaxation.
I hope this answers your query.
