Question: I have pneumonia on my right lung and the doctor admitted me to the hospital for 48 hours and then since last Wednesday I have been taking Avelox 400 mg and Klaracid 500 but I took Klaracid since this Monday. I have a doctor's appointment on this coming Wednesday to see if the pneumonia is gone. Today is my 10th day on Avelox. So, I will stop taking it. Can I continue with Zinandal 500? Thank you

Brief Answer:
no, I don't recommend it

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I can understand your concern.

Yes, I fully agree with your treatment.
But you should not continue Zinadol.

I recommend you to continue the exact treatment with Avelox as your doctor has prescribed already. Don't worry. Ten days are sufficient there is no need for more. And Zinadol is another class of antibiotics. Moreover, your doctor knows better your actual clinical picture.

So, continue the correct treatment and wait for the appointment.
I wish a fast recovery.
