Can Haldol Show A False Positive In Pregnancy Test Report?
Question: Hi this is the situation I currently stopped taking haldol a month ago and have done three pregnancy test one was negative then second was positive and the third two days later was positive. I have been to my gyn a week ago and the test was negative. And also ultrasound was normal nothing was there. Last month I receive my period dec 31 for three days. Not due for next one till end of week . I know the haldol does give you symptoms of pregnancy and I meen the whole nine . My symptoms subsided for a couple of days . So I decided to take another test and I got two test positive so strange.
Also found out that haldol does give false positive pregnancy test. That is so horrible.

In my opinion the test might be false positive.False positive result might be due to halodol or even protein or blood in urine .
Halodol gives rise to symptoms of pregnancy like missed period,nausea,vomitings and breast tenderness.
As you got your period on Dec 31st it is too early to feel any symptoms of pregnancy or the test to be positive.
Usually in case of regular cycles the urine pregnancy test might be positive after a week of missed period.And the pregnancy symptoms start 2 weeks after missed period.
Moreover ultrasound is confirmatory and in ultrasound as nothing is seen there might be no chance for pregnancy.
