Question: Hello. Anxiety is killing me. Here's my situation: I was coming back home after a long commute. I started masturbating and decided to finger my anus. However, after I finished I could not recall whether or not I had previously washed my hands. Am I at risk of an HIV infection?

Masturbation is the safest way of sexual activity among all types.
One can not get any HIV/STD through self masturbation even if put the finger into anus.
HIV is acquired through some sort of exchange of body fluids from an infected person to the other. Sex with another unknown individual, blood transfusion, sharing of needles and needle prick are the common way of HIV transmission apart from mother to child transmission.
So there is no risk of HIV for you through self masturbation, even if you did not wash your hands.
