Can HIV Be Contracted Through Sexual Intercourse?
Question: Respected Sir,
I am 33 yrs. old Male.I had two sexual exposure 1st Protected (vaginal) on 27th,April,2014 and unprotected (vaginal) twice on 5th,May,2014.On 5th may,2014 the girl sucked my Penis too.
After that 2 exposures I came to know in month of July,2014 the girl with whom I had unprotected sex is quite ill having FEVER,MOUTH ULCER,RED RASHES on the back,EXTREME WEAKNESS etc.That terrified me and I took numerous tests for HIV.
My Questions are as follows :
1. Whether I am safe or not ?
2. As I took another test from LAL PATH LAB i.e.Ag/Ab Elisa {MEIA Technology},on 17 th Feb,2015,what will be the RESULT.
3. Do taking so many Medicines { INCLUDING SEX STEROID SUSTANON} effected my TEST RESULTS and that's why Result are coming Continuously FALSE NEGATIVE even after SIX MONTHS.
4. Do RNA PCR VIRAL LOAD TEST must be taken in FASTING {Empety Stomach} only.
5.What the chances of FALSE NEGATIVE RNA PCR Test if taken in NON-FASTING Condition.
6.Can a person's Viral Load is possible to be Undetectable i.e. less than 100 copies/ml of blood even if person is not taking ART.
7.As lal path result is yet to come i.e. on 18 th Feb,2015 Evening,if it is Positive, then can you give me your Contact Details so that I can come to you for Treatment.I reside in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX or ADDRESS of any qualified Doctor dealing HIV /AIDS Cases in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX West bengal.I Don't want treatment from Government Hospitals.
8.As you are quite Experience, please tell me whether Seroconversion is possible even after 6 or 7 Months?
9.I am having bad Habit of taking CANNABIS {Bhang in Hindi} from Feb,2014 till XXXXXXX 2015 every Alternate Day.Do taking BHANG hamper IMMUNE SYSTEM and hence prevent ANTIBODY formation ?
10 Do taking Excessive sleeping pills daily i.e. 2 to 3 pills of Colonotril 0.5 mg hampered AB formation and effected my Test Results?
11. Lastly I saw a swelling in my Left arm pit{ May be of swelled Lymph node} that is disturbing me a lot and reminding me about HIV/AIDS Continuously.It is not giving me Pain at all.
Some time both armpits starts giving pain.Why?
Please help me I am in Quite Panic Situation.

1. The risk is close from single unprotected insertive vaginal sex (inserting the penis into the vagina) is estimated to be 0.04% (equivalent to 1 transmission per 2,500 exposures).So odds are in your favor , there is very minimal risk though not zero.
2.As told before , the result in your case will in all likelihood , be a negative one.
3.No medicine does have any implication/effect on the result of HIV test.
4.RNA PCR VIRAL LOAD TEST have no bearing on FASTING {Empety Stomach}
5.Explained as abpve.
6.Yes, there are Long-term nonprogressors could be individuals who are infected with HIV, but maintain a CD4 count greater than 500 without antiretroviral therapy with a detectable viral load(>50 copies/ml ).But this is not a general rule.

Finally -a word of caution -any substance use decreases the power of rational thinking and the person may not take inappropriate action at the time of crisis. So keep yourself away from any kind of substance abuse.

Xtremely sorry to disturb you again.But I am having some questions which are as follows :
1. As I took MEIA/CMIA COMBO Test (Ag/Ab Test) from Lal Path Lab that came Non Reactive. Value " 0.06 " i.e. less than " 1 ".
But at the end of the report in the " Recommendation " Section it was written that
" Rarely report can be false Positive/Negative "
Do that mean that the test must be repeated in due course of time to exclude any such Rare Possibility of False Negative or the given " Non Reactive Report " to me is the trusted one, although I took this test over NINE MONTHS of my EXPOSURE. What's the chance of False Negative in my case after NINE MONTHS of exposure.
2. Do the Window Period for HIV is dependent on the amount of VIRUS entered in side the body and hence when lesser amount of Virus inside the body prolongs the Window period beyond Maximum Six months for the detectable level of Antibody through Antibody Test.

3. As in my very first conversation as I explained that I am suffering from Colitis that's why I have to go 4 to 5 times to discharge stool.As Colitis is an Auto Immune disorder to this Disorder effects the test results or the Antibody formation up to detectable level beyond SIX Months?
4. Sir, I took several Rapid Antibody tests of BIORAD,QUALPRO,J XXXXXXX etc. even after NINE MONTHS. My question is do RAPID TESTS are as reliable as Laboratory Based Tests i.e. like ELISA and WESTERN BLOT .

2. The window period of 3 months is regarded confirmatory for a decision-- negative or positive. The test has to be repeated after 3 months of exposure as per protocol .
3.No other illness has any effect over the final result.
4.Yes they are reliable, but avoid getting tests done on your own without the psychological support and a medical prescription ?

That terrified me a lot and I took several tests.

I guess ,It is not correct to do tests like this. In fact you were not required.
You have to have faith on something at some point of time. I understand you had proper prescriptions of a qualified physicians ,who had advised you so many tests, else these tests . Any way if these tests are negative beyond nine months(3 fold more than the accepted window period) then you are a HIV negative person for sure.

answer Sir a few last Questions, which are as follows :
1. Sir, as I read on Internet that some 25 documented cases were found in the World,may be more, that HIV Infected fellows were having High Viral Load and No Antibodies developed even after SIX to EIGHT Months of EXPOSURE.
So in this scenario do Antibody tests taken by me are fully reliable even after NINE months or I must go for RNA QUALITATIVE PCR Test for full confirmation that I am Negative.
2. Secondly, some after 5 Months 16 Days of my exposure I had a Cluster of Pimples on upper right side of my Back,that were Itching some times and ultimately went away after 10 Days.
Now I am experiencing one or two Pimples in Inner part of Upper Eye Lid of Right Eye and they are Itching and disappears and again comes back.This is happening from the last 10-15 Days.
Do the above mentioned both conditions are related to HIV Infection?
3. Is it possible that a HIV Infected persons Antibody Test results can continuously comes NEGATIVE even after WINDOW PERIOD,despite the person is infected ?
4. Lastly as I discussed earlier that as I was experiencing a Tenderness in my LEFT ARM PIT that now gone away.Is it possible that I started SEROCONVERTING
