Can HIV Be Contracted Through Protected Sex?
Question: hi doc,
i did the sex with my telephonic frenz on 18 april 2016 and i used the double condoms. now i am not sure about the integrity of condoms. i just take the 2 to 5 mins to do the sex. i also do not know the hiv status of my partner but slightly hopeful that she does not have such prob. i did not do the breast scretion and i think that c was not relaxed during the sex. now whether it is safe, secondly i went to a doc. he just gave me the PEP tablets without examine me. i did not see any cut mark or itching and something abnormal on my genital part. my vdrl report shows normal value and in cbc i have high tlc, WGN Value. now please also tell me that is these WGN and tlc value are due to that medicine(rotanavir, liponavir, tenofovir and embricita). i am a ocd patient also

You had protected sex with an unknown status girl for only 2-5 mins than the risk of getting HIV is very unlikely even if the integrity of condoms is doubtful with such short single exposure so don't worry.
You had also started PEP after the exposure within time and the test result for VDRL and CBC are also normal than no need to panic or bothered as there is practically nil risk for HIV. For your satisfaction you can go for HIV testing to confirm the status. If still any doubt left get back to me again.

can i have the sex with my wife even we have small child 0f 20 months appx. on the net i also found that rna pcr test can be done with in 9 to 11 days after sex.
pep gave me the side effects like nauseate, etc. can i talk to you on phone.

can i go for the initial checkup with rna pcr so that i can be mentally relaxed. it is difficult for me to stay away from my wife because in such case she will have a doubt on me. secondly i have an itching on my skin and feel the pain in liver areas due to these medicine. should i also take the tenofovir and embrici( given in pep) because i read about this medicine that it is used in prep cases not in pep. yesterday i talked to my sexual partner she told me that she was not relaxed during the intercourse con firmly.what is time rna pcr will take to give the result when tested in 9 - 11 days and what accuracy percentage
