Brief Answer:
It's rare to cause a rise in LDl/cholesterol ,reverses to normal on stoppin

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
Though there are independant reports of rise in cholesterol after flecanide , its not very common or severe .
In most of the forum around the world its less than 0.5 % .
Also it reverses back on stopping medication .
So rise in cholesterol should not be a reqson to stop medication as the benefit is far higher than this rise .
However if you had other pertinent side effects , its better to shift to alternative drug .

Hoping i could help .
