Brief Answer:
Both together will cause low blood pressure

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Duodart contains Dutasteride 500 mcg and tamsulosin HCl 400 mcg. Using alcohol with tamsulosin can lower your blood pressure. This can cause dizziness or feeling like you might pass out, especially when getting up from a sitting or lying position.

It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, lightheadedness, or fainting.

The explanation for the above is that the concurrent use of alcohol (ethanol) and tamsulosin (alpha-1 adrenergic blockers) may cause increased hypotensive effects. Patients with aldehyde dehydrogenase deficiencies (primarily Asians) may be at a higher risk of this interaction. The mechanism has not been determined.

You may develop flushing, warmth or redness under your skin or tingly feeling after alcohol intake and this is a warning sign to avoid alcohol or decrease its intake when on medication.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
