Can Benedryl Be Given For An Infant?

default
Posted on Wed, 8 Jun 2016
Question: my grandaughter gives her 17 month old daughter Benedryl to get her to sleep. That is her only purpose for using it. She told me that her Dr. said it was alight. I am worried that it is not a good thing. I am not sure how often she uses it, but I feel it is frequent. Is this safe?

Brief Answer:
Ask her not to use it frequently

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.

Although Benadryl is safe, I would not recommend it to be used for long as a sleeping aid. Going through the following link will guide you further:
