yes it may, but without examining the patient it is difficult to say if it is reaction or infection.

Ive been taking the bactrim 2x per day for 10 days for a bacterial infection. Yesterday i developed a severe reaction to the medication. Horrible rash, lightheadedness, dizzy, itching, chills, flush face, etc. Today, my lymph nodes under my jaw have been slightly tender and swollen .

Brief Answer:
Infection and Reaction both can cause tender nodes

Detailed Answer:
Hello,XXXX
Thanks for asking HCM.
I am Dr Rakesh Sharma replying your query.
All your other symptoms indicate a severe reaction of the drug.
As allergic reaction is sort of inflammatory reaction it can cause swelling of glands as well.
At the same time you should also keep in mind that what ever infection you have may not be sensitive to bactrim if are still having symptoms, the infection may also involve lymph nodes as well.
Start anti allergy treatment as soon as possible under strict medical supervision as if uncontrolled may become an emergency.
I again want to warn you against anaphylaxis,Please immediately seek medical attention.
If you have any query do not hesitate in asking.
Best Wishes.
