Brief Answer:
Arimidex is better

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Arimidex is better than tamoxifen in postmenopausal women with hormone sensitive breast cancer. It prevents more relapses. For this group of patients, these two are the best options actually. Can be given sequentially also, say 2 yr tamoxifen then 3 yr arimidex.

However, adverse effects profile is different. Arimidex causes less uterine problems but more joint pains and bone health problems as compared to tamoxifen. But we can use other bone health promoting measures to counter that.

Hope this helps.
