Question: I i have been percribed anafrinil. And very concerned about weight gain. It really stresses me out. How bad is it snd what action should i take. I take 100 mg

Welcome and thanks for your query.
Most of the medicines used for OCD may increase weight and Anafranil may also.
If it is giving you the best relief for your OCD symptoms, you can do other measures not to gain weight. Eat healthy wholesome food rich in fruits and vegetables and less of animal fat. Avoid sweets and sodas which are loaded with sugar and makes you gain weight. Reduce the portion size, eat slowly chewing well. This way your satiety center which controls your appetite will be kept quiet.
Along with that exercise well at least 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise
. Exercise helps to burn the calories and also helps you handle stress better.
