Bump On Inner Thigh, Painful, Hard, Oozing Pus. Any Idea?
Question: Hi, I have a rather large bump on my left inner thigh. This usually comes and goes every few months but its starting to worry me. Its a bit painful but not much and its rather hard. Sometimes puss comes out if a squeeze it..this time no liqued has come out yet, just a tiny bit of blood. Any idea what this can be? I sometimes get a similar bump on my right thigh too.

The lesion you are describing can be folliculitis, sebaceous cyst, draining sinus etc.

Does it occur on same site or different site.
Also does it occur on any other place apart from thigh?
Does it have a punctum or opening on it?
Are you on any drugs for acne or psoriasis?
treatment depends on the cause of bump.
It most likely can be sebaceous cyst.Which can be removed by small surgery.

To answer your question:
Does it occur on same site or different site.
The large bumps only occur on my inner thigh and once on my butt..sometimes i get smaller version on my arms or chest but not sure if its the same issue.
Also does it occur on any other place apart from thigh?
As mentioned, smaller versions of these bumps appear on my upper arm or chest
Does it have a punctum or opening on it?
it does have an opening to it once i squeeze the blood or puss out.

No drugs for the acne or psoriaris..just creams.
Is surgery necessary for these things or can it be handled in another way? Also if it has to be surgery..is this someting that has to be urgent?

Although they are not very clear .
It appears to be follicullitis. It is a bacterial infection of skin.
Please apply a good antibiotic cream like T BACT on it for 5 days /two times a day.
If its not resolved oral antibiotics and small surgery may be needed.
Surgery is not mandatory and not urgent also.
Keep the area clean with wasing it by soap and water.
Can use anti bacterial soap like SOAPEX.
There is nothing to be worried about
