Hello and thanks for query.

Your symptoms suggest that you may be suffering from acute gastritis.

You get this problem if you take spicy and greasy food as you mentioned.

It can however be caused by increase in cigarettes, alcohol and repeated use of pain killers.

Avoid alcohol and spicy foods for few days.

Drink plenty of water.

You can take proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole. You can get these prescribed your doctor.

You may take some OTC antacids which are easily available.

I hope to have answered your query however you can revert to me for any other query.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards.

Hello Dr. XXXXXXX

I dont think its just gas related as I have been trying to adjust my diet and
eat grill fish and subway sandwich on daily basis which is purely vege.

I have the feeling of bloated stomach as soon as I eat and dont feel like eating anything as like today I havent eaten anything and still feel like full entire day.

Dont you think there might be some bad bacteria involved after eating beef rice
within beef itself?

Thanks,

Hello,

Thank you for writing back.

Yes it is possible to have bacterial infection and since you are not having diarrhea, it may be mild one and should go away with soft diet, increased water intake in a couple of days.

Hope this answers your query. Please accept my answer if you have no more questions.

Wishing you good health.

Regards.

Well although the diarrhea is not happening, but the food is taking way too long time to digest. Do you think by changing diet and drinking water that should cure? Its just really bad feeling and nothing is helping me right now to fix this issue. I have been drinking lot of water lately but the stomach cramp and bloating remains.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

I think you are suffering from dyspepsia. Proper rest, a soft and light diet and plenty of water(2-3 litres) should be able to make you alright. Try and have home cooked food and that should help as well.

If the bloating continues, you can take Prevacid 20 once a day 1 hour before meals in the morning.

Get well soon.
Regards
