Are The Readings On An Ovulation Kit Reliable?
Question: I took an ovulation test last thursday which was positive and my husband and i had sex everyday after and before this time. But today monday it is still positive. How is this possible?

Are you on any other hormones or drugs ?
do you have pcod?
You mean to say that you used ovulation kit to test for ovulation on Thursday and it was positive.The kit detects the sudden surge of LH hormone indicating that ovulation might happen within 36 hrs to 48hrs.
If you have taken hcg it can be positive after 2 to 3 days also.
Normally LH is present in urine and you might get a faint line..only when the surge happens it will be positive.
So either discuss with your gynaecologist or you could provide me the details by answering the questions.

I dont have pcod but endometriosis. My ovulation test has been positive since thursday. No i dont take any medicine at all at the moment .

Now to confirm you need to check your hormones in blood..
These strips will be positive only when the LH is sufficiently high.so to confirm you need to counter check with blood LH or ultrasound scan.
