Are Psychological And Emotional Symptoms Of Menopause Hereditary?
Question: My wife is experiencing perimenopause and I think has sleep apnea as well. The last 6 months she has been experiencing elevated levels of anxiety and some depression I think. She has always had mood swings but they are changing now almost daily sometimes they change multiple times in a day and she is always tired. Her mother had extreme psychological/emotional symptoms of menopause and had to be hospitalized for a time. Are menopausal psychological/emotional symptoms hereditary ? And what can I do to help her i.e doctor or mental health professional or both?
