Are Painful Tingling And Radiating Pain Under The Arms Signs Of Shingles?

default
Posted on Wed, 14 Jun 2017
Question: Could it be shingles if there's no itching or rash? Just tingling that has become painful - difficult to ignore - increasing in duration. The sensation began on my right shoulder blade. The sensation radiates around, under my arm, to my chest. It feels superficial, not deep. My skin looks normal, but it's tender to touch.

Brief Answer:
tingling sensation underarm

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your concern

“As” per your health history is concerned you have tingling sensation under arm which radiates to your chest and I may say that it is not due to shingles at all and it is due to nerve related.so first check if you have vitamin b 12 deficit or not if present correct it by injectable medications. Do check your blood sugar to ruled out diabetic present or not. Do a physical examination by your local doctor to ruled out any physical injury present or not as well as cervical spondylosis. As per your history you have superficial pain and not deep so we can not say it as a major pathological problem.

Hope that helps
