Question: OK, I had my annual check up today and found I have hard lumps in my right breast and arm pit area, around the 9 oclock zone, 1 CM from the nipple. Do cancerous lumps hurt, these do.

I don't have any yet.

Brief Answer:
Sometimes hurt

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
There is a form of cancer which does hurt and this is usually seen in inflammatory cancers. However in most cases this is not painful unless it involves skin or nipple. However, cancer diagnosis can't be based on palpation only and ultrasound with biopsy will clear this out. Commonly,we see fibroadenomas in this age and I hope that this would be your case too,but you have to be patient and do necessary tests. Wish you good health. Regards
