Are Large Transparent Rashes On Inner Thighs Suggestive Of STD?

default
Posted on Tue, 4 Aug 2015
Question: Doctor, I have been getting rashes in my inner thighs lately. I am afraid it might be std as I have been sexually active. The rashes are large , not small or transparent with clear fluids. However I popped two of these rashes as they dont burst on their own. First time it was clear fluid, second time it was white stuff with blood.

1. Its been 2 months on and off.
2. Yes once the bump has gone down and become dark in color, another one breaks out
3. It starts as a rasied bump with no head, it doesnt hurt that much, it does itch, but not much.
Then after a while the bump becomes fleshy, like a pimple without a head,
it makes me feel like popping it, and only a little amount of puss comes out.
If I dont touch a bump , or try to squeeze it, the bump will go down on its own, it will not form a head, it will not burst by itself, it just goes down on its own, and the skin over the bump becomes dry.
However, right now, I have a bump that is on its way down, and it has become light colored. However , few other bumps have taken the same progression and now its just a black spot .
4. I do not have any bumps on my penis. My testicles dont itch.

I am a big guy with very meaty thick thighs that chaffs (touches together) when I walk.

I am of east XXXXXXX ethnicity. So most of my bumps when they go down turn dark. The pic I uploaded , you`ll see a whitish bump. Its actually a very old bump which started as a huge bump, then it went down, started to become light with few dry skin.

None of my bumps burst on its own, and they do not appear in any part of the body.

Only in inner thighs and ass cheeks.

I am a straight male, who have had sex in the past with women

Brief Answer:
does not sound our look like sexually transmitted infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic,
I have read your note and looked at your photos. These bumps/rashes do not look like an STI but if you have possibly been exposed it is good to get tested in any case.
This looks like a folliculitis (inflammation of follicles in the skin). I do not see anything in the photos that looks like a yeast infection.
For folliculitis you can just make sure that you keep the skin clean. Try not to squeeze the bumps as they will usually go away on their own.
If it is severe you may need to see a doctor for an antibiotic.
First try keeping the skin clean and dry and not squeezing the bumps.
Regards,
Dr. Robinson
