Question: Hi, My daughter will be completing her 6 months on March 14th . I can see 2 teeth coming out on the lower jaw. Earlier she used to pass stool once per day or sometimes once in two days, but now it has increased to 4 to 5 times a day (smooth solid changed to green watery motion) .Is there a connection between these two? if yes, is there any medication I can give her? Also, now that the teeth have started coming out, does she have a nutritional requirement from any other source apart from breastfeed? please advice muzaffar

Brief Answer:

Yes, both are interconnected.

Detailed Answer:

I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
Yes, they are interconnected, basically baby put everything in the mouth because he had irritation due to teeth.

That is why his stomach gets upset and he is having loose stool.
Give him some soft food as he is 6 months old like mashed potatoes, sooji, banana, apple, daal paani etc.

Give him teether to relieve his irritation.
Maintain hygiene for the same.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
