Question: Hi doctor,
My son release saliva while sleeping and also makes sound from teeth and even scratches his stomach. My mother says these are the symptoms of worms. But I have given him albendazole around 1months back. Please advise

Brief Answer:

Unrelated. Nothing needs to be done about it.

Detailed Answer:

Let me assure you that it is a common misconception that grinding of teeth (also known as bruxism) is associated with worms.

In reality, it is not related and salivation is independent of it. You need not worry.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
